IG Burton Subaru of Glen Burnie has partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets and messages of hope to the patients at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center. On 6/23/2025, employees from IG Burton Subaru of Glen Burnie personally delivered these items to patients in treatment and/or hospital staff
IG Burton Subaru of Glen Burnie Teams Up to Support Local Community - Nate R
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Glen Burnie, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why IG Burton Subaru of Glen Burnie is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like IG Burton Subaru of Glen Burnie have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 02/25/2025, IG Burton Subaru of Glen Burnie donated 120 coats to Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC). These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

On Tuesday, July 2nd, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society® (LLS) Mid-Atlantic region and IG Burton Subaru of Glen Burnie had the pleasure of delivering blankets to Anne Arundel Medical Center as part of the Subaru Loves to Care® initiative. These comforting gifts were accompanied by personalized messages of hope written by customers and staff at IG Burton Subaru of Glen Burnie. This incredible act of generosity was warmly received by the folks at Anne Arundel Medical Center. i.g. Burton Subaru empowering the youth of Anne Arundel County - Kevin R
i.g. Burton acquired Subaru of Glen Burnie from the Wilkins family in October 2023. For years, Wilkins Subaru supported the Heritage Overlook Boys & Girls Club, a local clubhouse less than a mile from the dealership that operates as a part of the Boys & Girls Club of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County (BGCAA). The Wilkins partnership utilized Share the Love to support the local club, but when i.g. Burton acquired the store, the General Manager Chris Jamison wanted to take the relationship even further. i.g. Burton continued the Share the Love partnership and raised $20,802. Then, to go above and beyond the Share the Love program, i.g. Burton Subaru sponsored a table at the BGCAA's 35th Annual Youth of the Year Awards dinner, which took place on May 1st. Youth of the Year showcases teens from different Boys and Girls Clubs around Anne Arundel County and celebrates their stories of outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to a healthy lifestyle. Four local teens received special recognition and they each had a chance to tell their stories and compete for the opportunity to progress to the state, regional, and national levels of Youth of the Year. Five employees from i.g. Burton attended the event and each brought a date: Service Manager - George Castaneda, Master Technician - Frank Lamke, Service Advisor - Miguel Gochez, Sales Manager - Greg Ryland, and Delivery Specialist - Kevin Riebert. i.g. Burton sponsored the table for $2500 and several employees donated an additional amount after hearing from the local youth throughout the evening. i.g. Burton is proud to have bolstered the relationship with the Boys & Girls club monetarily, but it was also enriching for the team take an evening to spend time in person and gain a better understanding of how the Boy & Girls Club is benefitting our local youth.
Paws on the Mountain Greyhound Adoption - Peter D
Paws on the Mountain Greyhound Adoption have been participating in Subaru Love Pets every October for the last several years. With the recent change in ownership we are looking forward to a new relationship with IG Burton Subaru of Glen Burnie. We would very much like to thank Wilkins Subaru of Glen Burnie with Tamara Wilkins for their generous support in the past of our organization. Due to their efforts we received large money donations from National Subaru. This October we focused on getting the word out into the community to attract potential adopters. When adopting a retired racing greyhound you will be rewarded with many years of unconditional love and complete enjoyment. Greyhounds are gentle and family oriented dogs. However some are very hard to place due to their high energy. Cet Rick was such a dog. It took 4 months of hard work to find a suitable family that did not have small children and where he would be an only dog. He is now home and happy.
